Software Architect Manager

Rezaid is seeking to hire an experienced Software Architect to join its management team. The successful applicant will lead a growing technical team that specializes in the development and production of custom/bespoke software solutions for clients in a variety of industries. Customer specific software solutions can provide customers with that competitive edge over standard “out-of-the-box” software solutions and help them achieve/exceed their business goals with their competitors. Examples of typical customer software solutions may be the automation of standard software processes or specific integrations specialized to their business, or even specific pricing and discounting engines that match the company’s policies. Other examples include building from the ground up a completely new and innovative cloud and mobile technology platform or simply providing a technical service to extend a customer’s own development team, where it may require additional capacity to achieve its immediate business goals.

Responsibilities:

Develop custom solutions for specific requests, working from specifications and design documents
Assist with the maintenance and support of new and existing custom solutions
Provide estimates for your own engineering effort
Provide technical input and suggestions during the design stage
Work closely with the QA team to perform comprehensive quality assurance testing
Assist your team members when/where appropriate
Mentor and guide other developers within your team
Main liaison with peers in UK and team locally to provide a seamless development capability
Report directly to the board and Managing Director

General Requirements:

Should be personally presentable.
Must be highly articulate in both written and spoken English
Must be able to take ownership of assigned tasks and see them through completion
Must be able to complete assigned tasks on time, sometimes too challenging deadlines
Must be focused on providing a world class customer service, whether internal or external
Possess a flexible approach to occasional travel and working out of hours

Work Experience:

A minimum of 7 years’ experience with the full development lifecycle of developing computer software within a client/server environment.
Experience in project leading a small group of developers
Experience working with ERP computer applications is advantageous

Knowledge:

Client/Server development philosophies
Microsoft or Progress development environments
Relational Database Environments

Skills:

Must have a minimum of 7+ years technical experience in:
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET IDE, MVC, Web API, C#.NET, VB.NET and SQLServer
Experience working with front-end frameworks like Angular 2, Jquery, typescript etc.
Experience with custom controls and third-party components like Telerik, DevExpress
Experience working with cloud technologies and infrastructure
Understanding and/or experience of design patterns, Dependency injection etc.
Understanding of SOA and SaaS (WCF, Restful services)
Knowledge and understanding of the agile development environment
Must have excellent team leadership capabilities and communication skills

To effectively communicate issues and concerns in a timely manner to the Managing Director
To independently complete projects in a timely manner with high quality
