- Collaborate with product managers, content writers and engineers to deliver the most appropriate design to the functional requirements - there will be a variety of features and products.
- Create and optimize complex user flows given product requirements, and design appropriate UIs.
- Apply a mobile-first design philosophy to every design you undertake. There is no such thing as ‘desktop only’ in today’s world.
- Design desktop and mobile interfaces (web and apps) where form and function are woven together tightly.
- Incorporate UX theory and best practices into each item of UI design.
- Document all iterations in a proper manner, from sketch to mockup to final deliverable.
- Have a desire to learn what kind of code needs to be written to enable your design vision to come to life quicker.
- Engineering and design work so much better when both sides meet halfway, as often as possible.
- Be able to rapidly prototype/ iterate, many times without engineering support.
- Be able to direct graphic designers to make ads and social media posts, videos in line with the overall design aesthetic we set.
- Stay abreast of the latest and greatest trends in the world of UX+UI design and know enough about them to share the knowledge methodically with colleagues, senior or junior.
- Become so good at some things that you just cannot wait to train your colleagues on them.
- Be ready to work at the pace of a startup.
- Be great at communicating, particularly across different teams.
- Carry out other activities as assigned by management.
