- Experience in the safety field in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibility, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Must identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices.
- Collaborate with appropriate department personnel to resolve identified hazards.
- Assist in monitoring contractors and construction activities to ensure safe work practices are being followed.
- Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss accidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventative measures and manage the return to work activities.
Skills:
- Candidate must have a strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and ability to work at a fast pace.
- Candidate must be a good communicator in written and spoken English, have outstanding records of academic and non-academic activities.
- Have the initiative, drive, and creativity to rapidly progress & contribute to the objectives and culture of the company.
