Secours Islamique France (SIF) is a Non-Governmental Organization of international solidarity based in France.
Founded in 1991, SIF is a non-profit and non-political organization that intents to help, to bring relief and to protect the lives of those threatened by natural disasters, armed conflicts or by economic collapse.
SIF intervenes in more than 20 countries around the world through operations of emergency aid, recovery and development.
SIF provides its help since more than 20 years in the respect of the cultural diversity, without any distinction of origin, religion or sex.
Distribution Assistant will be based in Mithi (SIF Base Office) and will work under the direct supervision of the Project Officer.
He/she will be responsible to look after the implementation of the BEST project in field and will bethe focal person for ongoing livelihood activities.

Objective : Ensure Smooth Implementation of the BEST Project

Activities:

Organize and support running of livelihoods activities in the respective base.
Support beneficiary’s identification and selection processes together with Base Livelihoods Teams.
Active participation to field assessments (logistic organization, identification of needs, monitoring)
Assist in the registration of target families and to ensure data is collected and is recorded within the livelihoods programming to be implemented
To facilitate community mobilization, meetings and trainings during community led Distribution activities;
To ensure the identification and selection of the most vulnerable population;
To work closely with Distribution Officer to follow up on implementation of planned community activities;
To organize the community for the implementation of training, social mobilization activities and distributions;
To collect information to ensure the surveillance of the Food Security situation in the area of implementation of the project, when required;
To collect the information required during assessments and surveys;
To support the preparation of documentation required for the implementation of field activities;
To participate actively in initial training sessions and debriefing
Make field arrangements for planned visits to project locations
To ensure the quality and quantity of material provided to beneficiaries.
To compile the complaints of stakeholders and share with management.
Keep view the existing and changing situation of the working area and share the changes with management

Objective : Coordination

Activities:

Keep close coordination with Community leaders
Maintain coordination and appropriate information sharing and communication lines with partner and stakeholders at field level to avoid duplication and maximize synergies.
Regularly monitor project activities and provide timely inputs and feedback to the livelihood officer and project officer.

Objective : Reporting

Activities:

Timely submission of daily and weekly Progress updates.
Compile and maintain proper record keeping of Project activities in hard files and soft database.
Responsible to maintain record of internal and external communication including emails, letter, purchase requisitions and other relevant documents.
Contribute to data entry, as needed
