The Paramedic is a member of the Ambulance crew of the Emergency Medical Services. The Paramedic plays a crucial role in providing lifesaving interventions/medications to the patients/customers that use the service. The Paramedic is the Team Leader in the ALS (Advanced Life Support) Unit, taking charge of each situation and providing the necessary guidance and instruction to the Ambulance team.

The Paramedic is also responsible for maintaining the quality standards and bench mark service to all patients/customers. The Paramedic can carry out medical interventions as per already defined SOP’s at the Paramedic level. The Paramedic can be a mentor for newly hired Ambulance Staff.
