Release Manager (Software Release Planning & Tracking)

We are looking for an experienced Product Release Manager who will provide effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and coaching skills in our Agile environment. This individual will be responsible for enforcing the rules of scrum, removing impediments from their teams while promoting self-management and constantly improving our standards of work. Upon Sprint completion, the Release Manager will oversee promotion and deployment of software to a production environment.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a person, who can:

Work as Sr. QA Resource and coordinate with QA teams to ensure good quality release
Collaborate with Agile Teams and other Product Development resources to monitor and track project release risks and issues.
Manages the release process end-to-end, from the planning of release content through to handoff of the actual release deployment to production. Maintains and controls the release calendar.
Responsible for major releases, minor releases, hotfixes and service releases
Direct activities to ensure the software products meet quality standards and performance objectives within defined time targets.
Responsible for maturing the release management function, processes and procedures. Must be able to thrive in a fast paced work environment and be willing to embrace change.
Coordinate members across Client Support, Operations, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to ensure all groups' activities are synchronized to achieve the most productive product output while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Work across teams to prioritize and scope scheduled releases with completion dates for each phase.
Works to resolve all release related issues
Manage internal and external communication activities associated with project and release efforts
Keep project leadership apprised of Sprint and Release progress, and identify risks and issues.
Write and/or update documentation related to software releases (Build Plans, Implementation Plans, As-Built Documents, etc)
Work as coordinator to maintain release repositories and source controls so that past releases could easily be retrieved
Manage version control in TFS
Establish code baselines
Write .Net scripts
Perform build and release management activities
Refine and Improve overall QA Process
