The Role: Associate Director - Data Business Operations

Location: Islamabad, Pakistan

The Team: The Data Business Operations group within the Ops Enablement team in Data Shared Services provides the connective tissue to ensure all data initiatives, reporting and communications tie together throughout the data organization.

The Impact: Reporting to the Director Ops Enablement, you will play an integral part in execution of the DBO strategy, working with groups within Data and across business lines to support synergy initiatives towards completions. Your knowledge of proven project management and project execution along with the ability to establish relationships across the organization will support the teams goals of strengthening alignment between our strategy and execution, creating value for our customers and stakeholders.

You will convene internal thought leaders in tactical working groups to provide recommendations on synergy projects, data Scorecard and increasing shared value across the business.

Responsibilities:

This role will support the data IMO’s transition into the data business operations group, under Operations Enablement. You will be responsible for supporting the various streams under the DBO group including but not limited to Stat Ops & Business Management, Value Stream Management and Data Scorecard Management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Independently lead, take ownership, and drive our integration projects towards execution, Liaise with MI Ops and Business Line COO group, centralize VMO strategy, provide support in building and maintaining the Data Scorecard KPIs
  • Convene and facilitate cross-company working groups on topics such as Shared Value, Synergy opportunities, workflows etc. by partnering with strategic stakeholders including IMO leads, Data leadership, PMO, Finance and HR as well as various business units, cross divisional and third parties.
  • Plan, manage, control, report on, and conclude multi-disciplinary projects. Provide regular status to management and stakeholders.
  • Build and support working group charters, project charters, and project schedules, providing input where necessary.
  • Manage scope, schedule, quality, and communication for active projects.

What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualification

  • Masters in Project management, MBA. added advantage will be given to project management certifications
  • 7-10 years of experience in relevant field of work
  • Take an active role including proactive outreach to stakeholders across business units, technology and operations to ensure roadmaps and prioritized work supports both divisional, corporate strategy and Revenue Synergy related efforts
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in identifying opportunities to re-engineer and better automate existing processes
  • Provide structure and project management discipline in organizing and leading key deliverables
  • Identify disparate workflows and synthesize a cohesive plan
  • Comfort with a constantly evolving and sometimes ambiguous landscape; commitment to flexibility and an ability to operate with minimal direction
  • Emotional intelligence, level-headed partner, skilled listener, clear communicator, and commitment to detail

Preferred Qualifications & Skill Set:

  • Demonstrable experience in facilitating, leading, influencing, and managing within large-scale, globally distributed organizations
  • Leverage a strong project management background to ensure timely planning, communication, and delivery
  • Commitment to creating strong relationships and fostering an environment of teamwork to support the division’s goals
  • Process-minded approach to problem solving
  • 2-3 years project management experience on data-related projects is preferred
  • Able to deliver on multiple projects simultaneously and to be results-oriented with a high level of attention to detail
  • Able to quickly diagnose problems and foresee potential challenges and risks
  • Proficient with information management and visual communication tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
  • Advanced communication skills, both oral and written, across a wide range of audiences
