- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed quantity & quality expectations & targets.
- Increase production, assets capacity while minimizing unnecessary costs & wastages
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Implement strategies in alignment with company initiatives, and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to the various teams (Production & Maintenance) and team building and improve co-ordination & communication between the departments and individuals.
- Monitor operations and ensure timely corrective actions, and ensure effective preventive maintenance systems
- Collect and analyze data to find areas of breakdowns, waste or overtime and take actions to effectively minimize the same.
- Ensure Man & Machine safety at all levels and all times.
- Monitor firefighting system, make it effective, and do monthly fire drills.
- Check and monitor waste water system and make effective use and optimize water usage at processes.
- Prioritize House Keeping around the plant area and inside and outside areas as well; i.e. scrap yard, gate areas, wood yard, bagasse yard etc.
- Liaison with Store, Warehouse, Raw Material Supply Chain and LIR for effective co-ordination and smooth operations.
- Apply production & maintenance management best practices and concepts.
- Hold daily meetings with the team for effective results and follow-up.
- Provide top management with weekly and monthly reports of all KPIs; and highlight areas where urgent actions are required
- Take initiative to review current practices and systems of all areas and suggests SOPs to senior management for improvements.
- Address employees’ personal & professional issues or grievances and positively contribute to union negotiations & agreements
