A leading IT Services provider are looking for an entry-level Business Development Manager, looking for an opportunity to launch their IT Sales and Business Development career.  This is a great role for a go-getter who is ready for their first step into a Corporate Sales role.  An IT background could also be beneficial, otherwise sales support experience and the right attitude!

The role will suit someone who strives on cold calls, networking and building relationships with organisations on a national level. We are looking for someone who shares our passion in delivering exceptional service to our customers.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, new client meetings and gaining referrals and leads from an established customer base
  • Negotiating new and existing client agreements
  • Contributing to the sales and tender process to secure ongoing business
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
  • Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives

Skills and experience you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a sales environment with an interest in IT
  • Ability to cold call and confidence to attend meetings with prospective clients
  • A track record of over-achieving and hitting goals
  • Perseverance with a 'Can Do' attitude
  • Professional presentation and excellent communication skills
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
