Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to network connectivity, storage systems, servers, operating systems, virtualization, and backup software.
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, ticketing system, and remote support tools.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including server and network configuration, operating system errors, virtual machine issues, and backup failures.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the IT infrastructure, including network devices, servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software, including servers, network devices, storage systems, virtualization software, and backup solutions.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement best practices for IT infrastructure management and maintenance.
- Create and maintain documentation, including technical guides, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the areas of network, storage, server, operating systems, virtualization, and backup software.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in a technical support role, with a focus on network, storage, server, operating systems, virtualization, and backup software.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
- Experience with server hardware, operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and RAID configurations.
- Experience with backup and recovery software (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Backup Exec).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- [Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSA, CCNA, VCP, etc., are a plus.]
