- Responsible for the installation and maintenance of scientific equipment in Mechatronics Engineering department’s labs.
- Provides technical support i.e. troubleshoot and repair lab equipment that malfunctions or breaks down.
- Responsible for maintenance of the infrastructure, inventory, and storage devices of laboratories.
- Conducts Lab Sessions as assigned by the department.
- Suggest/propose new experiments that can add to the knowledge of the students.
- Prepare lab manuals & update them according to the department and PEC recommendation.
- Participates with faculty members in projects & contributes technical knowledge for the betterment of the projects.
- Make sure that lab is available for project use with proper tools and calibrated equipment’s.
- Manages and supports the proper functioning and development of the relevant Mechatronics Engineering Laboratories.
- Directs the preparation of lab experiments as advised by the course instructor, coordinates the set-up of required tools, and ensures calibration and proper functioning of equipment.
- Instructs and demonstrates to students the proper techniques in lab safety and use and operation of lab equipment.
- Assists faculty and graduate student in conducting research experiments and help undergraduate students in doing their course and final-year projects.
- Performs other related duties such as maintaining and updating a data base on equipment catalogs, manuals, data books, protocols of experiments.
- Takes initiatives to design new experiments or find inexpensive solutions.
- Actively participates in professional development activities such as conferences, workshop, and lectures etc. as deemed appropriate by HoD.
