• Role As the Senior QA Engineer, you will report to the QA Manager in Pakistan.
• You will be responsible for working on the testing activities of core oomi products, projects and services.
• As senior QA engineer, you will play an important part in the development process, communicating within the team and with other teams within the organization.
• You will work closely with the QA Manager to implement an overall test strategy focusing mostly on Test Automation, QA Process Development and several day-to-day QA Activities. 
• You will be responsible for creating and working an Automation testing framework in a continuous integration/ continuous deployment environment.
• You will be working on industry leading tools to produce test artefacts which will ensure Quality and stability of the application under test.  

Responsibilities: 

• Analyze the requirements and make sure they adhere to oomi's standards
• Prepare a questions/query list and make sure no aspect of the requirements is vague
• Identify and document testing related risks during the planning phase of life cycle
• Develop efficient test cases and test plans
• Perform Manual, Automated, Cross Browser and Performance Testing
• Perform Acceptance/Smoke, Exploratory, Regression and Re Testing
• Develop and execute robust test automation scripts. Your scripts should not be flaky
• Provide estimates on testing efforts/tasks
• Bug Reporting on JIRA
• Train junior QA resources within the team on writing Automation testing scripts
• Communicate with the client and present developed solutions
• Prepare test status reports
• Work in a team environment
• Prioritize testing tasks 

Qualifications / Skills / Experience Requirements

• At least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• 3 years’ technical experience in a QA role
• Strong focus on automation, with experience of both API level and UI level testing
• At least 1 year of experience in any JavaScript based Automation tool. Cypress will be preferred
• Strong understanding of API level testing within an Automation testing framework. REST Assured will be preferred
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle
• Understanding of the software bug life cycle
• Experience working within Agile development teams
• Proven ability to participate in requirements and design reviews
• Able to write and execute test plans & test cases in a fast-paced development environment
• Experience with Performance testing tools such as JMeter
• Experience with Web Test Automation tools like Selenium or Cypress 
• Experience with API Testing tools like REST Assured, Postman or SOAP UI 
• Have a knack to break products in a repeatable way
• Understanding of database technology and able to write SQL scripts in support of QA work
• Good programming skills in Java/C#/JavaScript
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work accordingly
• Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work across different departments, including peers, senior management, development, and technical support on a range of subjects pertaining to software quality
• Is current with latest trends in the Industry like DevOps and CI/CD release pipelines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong sense of responsibility
