Our client is looking for a Python Developer to help build out new features on their web platform.
- Ideally they are seeking a Python Developer who has experience building applications with Django and is comfortable with RESTful APIs and Web Services.
- Any experience with AWS or deployment tools such as Docker is a plus.
- This would be a great opportunity to join a talented team and work on rapidly growing operations and heavily used applications.
- Designing and developing cloud based software products conforming to industry best practices.
- Designing and implementing Restful API's using Python.
- Supporting and maintaining existing software products, applications and interfaces.
- Evaluating emerging technologies, open source libraries and providing recommendations.
- Implementing data security and protection within the application
- Designing and implementing reliable, low-latency, and highly performance applications
- Supporting testing processes and troubleshooting issues and resolving them.
- Participating in architectural design sessions and product discussions.
- Working closely with front-end and UX developers to provide scalable solutions.
- Working with Agile/SCRUM team setting, including cross-functional structures, and varying levels of management.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years' experience with Python
- Experience working with Django, or Flask
- Experience with REST APIs and Web Services
- Excellent communication
- The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in code versioning tools, such as Git
- Experience working with APIs and Open API/Swagger
- Experience in Unix/Linux including basic commands and scripting
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and algorithm optimization
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3
- Working knowledge of some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
- Familiarity with cloud technology like AWS
- Exposure to JavaScript (React or Angular)
- Motivated self-starter
- Delivery of quality results within aggressive timelines
- Knowledge of software development processes
