Technical Project Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

We are seeking an experienced technical program manager to lead the development of our client's critical projects. The successful candidate will provide program management services to clients, will support or lead the development of a client's Program Management Office, and will help build our company's program management offering

• The candidate must have a track record of success in delivering integrated systems and products in both individual and leadership roles
• The candidate must have experience managing integrated product solutions, leading the concurrent development of hardware, firmware and applications software
• The ideal candidate will have led or participated in the development of a Program Management Office
• The ideal candidate must have experience working with agile, waterfall and hybrid project management frameworks, and with managing work and deliverables from subcontractors and third-party contributors.

Skills, Expertise and Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of experience in IT; specific experience with retail is preferred
• Experience in delivering large and complex global programs/projects
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and flexible approach to their application
• Proven track record of working with offshore teams to deliver multiple projects running in parallel
• Strong understanding of cross-dependencies in large technical programs and resolving technical interdependencies
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
• Should take responsibilities tracking deliverables, taking ownership on deliverables in an onsite-offshore model and deliver on time
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams in Multi-vendor & multi-matrix organizations/environments
• Strong ability to multitask several items & work independently and manage one's time
• Ability to develop & maintain relationships at all levels of the client organization
• Prior experience in Data and analytics projects is a must
• Should take responsibility of Project management, tracking deliverables, taking ownership of deliverables and deliver on time
• Experience with Sprint and Kanban models
• Preferred SCRUM Master Certification with both Sprint and Kanban models

• Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
• Advise on the long-term technical strategic direction of the company and where or where not to make large strategic technical bets
• Monitor KPIs and SOPs to assess technological performance
• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Communicate with team members to clarify project expectations in a timely and clear fashion; Delegate tasks and responsibilities appropriately
• Manage, monitor and motivate the cross-functional team assigned to the project
• We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a software project manager. The responsibilities of the software project manager include overseeing software projects from start to finish, managing and motivating software developers and other team members, giving customer presentations, and writing project proposals
• To be successful as a software project manager, you should have a good working knowledge of project estimation techniques and the ability to motivate team members. Ultimately, a top-notch software project manager should have good communication and decision-making skills.

Software Project Manager Responsibilities

• Discussing potential projects and their parameters with clients, executives, and software developers.-       Planning out the blueprints for software projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance
• Assembling and leading the project team
• Participating in and supervising each stage of the project
• Ensuring each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines
• Creating a project budget and ensuring the project adheres to the budget as closely as possible.
