The IT Network Engineer is responsible for providing day to day support and deploy modifications in relation to new initiatives of business as usual requirements changes. Key Accountabilities:

Support and maintain the company’s networking environment.
Ensure the reliable operation of the network, communications and security infrastructure.
Monitor the performance of the network and ensure the agreed SLA’s/KPI’s are being met
Implement new technology rollouts in the network, security and communication areas in conjunction with internal/external resources.
Utilize and maintain internal network support and implementation documentation and procedures. Ensure documentation held by Vendors is maintained and accessible.
Provides a secured information environment to protect “information assets”, data and information from unauthorized use, destruction and corruption in line with the relevant local and international standards.
Assists with the generation of the technical architecture with internal/external resources.
Supports in the training of other team members where relevant to day to day operations

Essential Experience:3 years + experience configuring and supporting complex network solutions. Extensive experience with routing protocols – RIP, RIPv2, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF deploying and operating VPNs with High availability , scalability and security. Experience with Cisco Multi-layer switches and routers. Experience with Policy based routing and ACLs Experience with Cisco ASA and Fortigate firewalls. Knowledge of administering or troubleshooting wireless products Network and Application security i.e. Firewalls, Encryption (SSL, IPSec). Desired Experience High availability networking concepts and techniques i.e. Load Balancing, Clustering, Failover, diverse connectivity. Cisco ISE, CSM & Prime. Radius & TACACS Authentication. ITIL – Foundation or experience Required Certifications CCNA (essential). CCNP (desired).
