The position is responsible for providing legal services and counsel on a wide range of legal issues to assist in fulfilling in regulatory law affairs. To provide support to Head of Legal and company secretary in relation to all regulatory & legal affairs pertaining to the bank.
Responsibilities:
- To highlight, mitigate and advise on legal exposure and risks
- Oversee legal matters pertaining to the bank and ensure that the bank operations are in compliance with applicable laws.
- Prepare draft of the agreements, contracts and other legal documents in order to safeguard the assets of the bank.
- Drafting, vetting and amendment of policies related to the bank as well as the internal business units
- Supervise all corporate and litigation matters and provide requisite as well as timely approvals to the internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to various departments on risk management, contract management and legal protection.
- Build relationships with law firms for the legal support/advise to the bank.
- To be able to advice on legal matters pertaining to Microfinance Institution.
- Fully conversant with SBP and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, rules and regulation relating to statutory form fillings etc.
- Advising human resource department on employment law and labor benefits and issues.
- To supplement Head of legal in all duties discharged.
- Must have experience in dealing with Governments Institutions/Departments.
