Develop, design and maintain highly available and scalable databases using SQLServer and other Database technologies
Work closely with the development and product management teams to design and deliver reliable and consistent database services
Work closely with developers on database choice, schema design, ERD, and query tuning.
Design and develop efficient stored procedures
Optimize Database space management
Backup the database Daily/Weekly/Monthly as required
Coordinate and execute data backup, archive and restore requests
Create and manage quality documents as needed (including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata))
Publish periodic metrics highlighting our database usage and health
Use/Develop database automation tools to automate existing database tasks
Document system design and procedures
Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users
Installing and testing new versions of the DBMS
Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
