Role Profile: Support in Management and develop planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health care programs in the respective region, upgrade MIS and maintain appropriate relationships with governance, AKDN and Government agencies and other institution working in health sector in Chitral District.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

·       Maintain appropriate relationship with the Health Boards of respective region.

·       Develops effective strategy in consultation with the health board for cost sharing and financial sustainability of the programs in the respective area

·       Timely shares important issues with the General Manager.

·       Develop appropriate working relationship with Government Health Department, AKDN or other institution and NGOs in health sector in the district.

·       Prepares and shares periodic program performance reports with GM according to deadlines.

·       To bring more efficiency in the program by enhancing utilization of health facilities through ensuring availability of essential staff, services, drugs and supplies and effective marketing of those services.

 

Routine Tasks:

 

a.      Should be full aware of the mission statement and key objectives of AKHS, P and endeavors to implement with team spirit within their respective region.

b.     To bring more efficiency in the program by enhancing utilization of health facilities through ensuring availability of essential staff, services, drugs and supplies and effective marketing of those services.

c.      Strict adherence to AKHS, P Policies and procedures regarding financial management and control, HR recruitment, training and development and inventory and fixed assets management and control.

d.     Maintain appropriate relationship with the Health Boards of respective region.

e.      Assess staffing needs in the region and in consultation with the Regional Health Board submits recommendation for recruitment for GM’s approval.

f.       Develops effective strategy in consultation with the health board for cost sharing and financial sustainability of the program in the respective area.

g.      Maintain effective internal control system as well as cost reduction strategy for service sustainability.

h.     Strengthen MIS in the region for program monitoring and reporting.

i.       Keeps Regional Office Chitral KPK informed about all programmatic activities in his area of jurisdiction.

j.       Ensure proper coordination with HRPC in health promotion activities.

k.     Properly manages program visitors/guests.

l.       Maintain calendar of vital events and meets the deadlines and arranges periodic meetings of board and management committees for proper monitoring and planning purposes.

m.    Timely shares important issues with the General Manager.

n.     Manages crisis and conflict if any duly keeping the Regional Health Board as well as the GM in loop.

o.      Ensures that quality is maintained at all levels of service delivery.

p.     Develop Capital Development plans in consultation with the respective health board and shares with GM for obtaining CEO’s endorsement well in time.

q.     Ensures coordination with GP for purchase and supply of quality assured capital /surgical items and medicine and their safe handling in the units and timely supply as well.

r.      Prioritizing problems and initiating funding proposals funding proposals to be routed through GM Chitral for further processing.

s.      Emphasis on managing difficult staff members for harmony.

t.       Ensuring implementation of agreed annual plane of staff and monitoring of the activist and achievement of target.

u.     Develop appropriate working relationship with Government Health Department, AKDN or other institution and NGOs in health sector in the district.

v.      Prepares and shares periodic program performance reports with GM according to deadlines.

w.    Performs all other duties assigned to him from time to time.
