Responsibilities:
· Assist the Center Coordinator in overall management of the Legal Aid Center/Helpline
· Provide psych-social support through telephonic counselling, and in-person counselling to walk-in clients
· Maintain complete records/logs of clients accessing the helpline or center for support
· Assist the Center Coordinator in identifying clients in need of and wanting legal aid assistance
· Maintain an up-to-date referral directory at the center
· Provide referrals, in consultation with the client, for long term psychological support, medical support, shelter or other support services
· Participate in trainings and exposure visits as required
· Ensure compliance with Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other policies and procedures
· Participate in community outreach activities as required
· Ensure that all resources at the center are being utilized as per the guidelines of the donor
· Any other task assigned by the supervisor
Ability and Skills Required:
· Takes initiative and consistently works to promote achievement of A2J project objectives in accordance with the organizational goal
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (spreadsheets)
· Ability to function as a good team member; capable of working with minimal supervision and to meet deadlines
· Good working knowledge of English. Fluency in Urduandother local/regional languages is a must
· Good familiarity with the local culture and norms
· Willing to work flexible hours/double shifts as and when required
