Overall responsible for managing entire branch banking operations and other units of banking operations department under reporting structure including managing staff and budget.
Ensure timely placement of resources at new and existing locations as per business plan and requirements arise due to resignations, transfers as well as promotions of existing resource.
Resource Planning and Managing Staff Performance.
Build capacity of branch operations staff for improved employee performance. Ensure induction, on-job and relevant trainings are being conducted across the board and Identify training needs / skill gaps of operations staff for taking necessary action for skill development. Develop and implement training (internal & external) plan for staff to maximize the potential of performance
Responsible to strengthen internal controls at branches / PBs through proper implementation of Banking Operations policies and guidelines. Ensure Compliance with Regulatory requirements relating to Banking Operations
Review, evaluate & extend functional support for implementation / revision of various operational policies and procedures.
Monitoring and tracking of branch banking operations activities by reviewing periodical reports through MIS OBI module in Flexcube. Ensure corrective actions to address critical issues raised by AOMs/ Review Functions / Internal & External Audits & SBP Inspection.
Ensure timely rectification of finding/observations raised by SBP, External and Internal Auditors. Interact with Compliance / follow up units ensuring that SBP/ internal / external audit findings are closed within stipulated timeframe and to avoid repetitions.
Ensure timely reporting incidence of fraud / forgery/ operational loss. Set deterrence of any fraud / forgeries / operational losses in banking operations. Develop a compliance culture in the branches / units and work as a team to achieve branch environment at desired benchmarks to deter frauds & forgeries. Enforce compliance with Consumer Protection Guidelines & Regulations by branch banking operations. Assure implementation of Service Quality Guidelines. Supervise area / branch operations team in resolving problems & disputes of internal staff and develop inter functional harmony.
Ensure active participation of operations staff at Branches / PBs in cross selling of digital products and conversion of customer traffic to FMFB's electronic banking channels.
Annual Branch Expansion plan (ABEP) and Correspondent banking & Reporting.
Assist Head Banking Operations in strategic decisions for achievement of departmental objectives. Any other task assigned by the line manager / competent authority from time to time.
