The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing security personnel and operations within the facility to ensure a safe and secure environment. This role involves coordinating daily activities, monitoring security systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. The Security Supervisor will also be responsible for reporting incidents, conducting investigations, and leading emergency response efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision of Security Staff:

    • Manage and oversee the security team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Schedule, assign, and monitor security shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
    • Provide leadership, direction, and training to security officers to maintain high standards of performance.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to security team members.
  2. Incident Management:

    • Respond promptly to emergency situations, security breaches, or incidents on the premises.
    • Investigate incidents (thefts, vandalism, accidents) and prepare detailed reports.
    • Ensure that appropriate action is taken for any security incidents, such as contacting local authorities if necessary.
  3. Security Operations:

    • Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV, alarms, access control systems) to detect suspicious activities or breaches.
    • Conduct regular security patrols and inspections of the premises to prevent security threats.
    • Ensure that security procedures are followed for access control, visitor management, and property inspections.
  4. Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with all security protocols, safety regulations, and local laws.
    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of security trends and technologies to enhance the security measures of the facility.
    • Prepare and enforce safety and emergency response plans for various situations, including fires, evacuations, and medical emergencies.
  5. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, and security-related activities.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on security operations and activities to management.
    • Maintain and update security logs, incident reports, and employee records.
  6. Collaboration with Other Departments:

    • Work closely with other departments (facilities, human resources, operations) to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business.
    • Assist with the implementation of security measures for special events or company functions.
