Civil / Structural Engineer

Exciting opportunity for a skilled Structural Engineer with expertise in steel joists to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, and analyzing structural systems that utilize steel joists, as well as performing routine materials estimations from provided plans. They will also be expected to work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and analyze structural systems using steel joists.
Develop and review construction drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with the mobile project manager to ensure that projects meet design requirements and are completed on schedule.
Analyze and provide materials estimations to management.
Prepare technical reports and other project documentation as required.
Participate in meetings as necessary.
Stay current with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to steel joists and structural engineering.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on steel joists preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Strong knowledge of steel joist design, analysis, and detailing.
Experience using structural analysis software and a general understanding to learn new software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively by oneself, and in a team environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
