Transdata software division is looking for ROR Team Lead.
Location: Johar Town, Lahore
Start date: ASAP
We would love to meet you if you are:
- Focused, hard-working, and able to meet deadlines to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
Responsibilities:
- Should be able to lead a team of other software engineers.
- Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with different teams I-e User Experience (UX) team and SQA team.
- Should be able to write testable code and write unit test for the applications.
- Should have hands on experience in development and testing Web APIs and SOA.
- Should be able to deploy the application on different servers using latest tools.
- Should have knowledge of CI and CD using different tools. Should be able to use GIT as standard configuration management tool.
- Should have experience of using and leading teams using PMS I-e Write, JIRA, TAIGA, Trello etc.
- Should be able to communicate effective with clients on different mediums I-e Email, Skype, Slack etc.
- Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support.
- Should have good understanding of different development processes especially Agile methodologies I-e SCRUM, KANBAN. Should be able to effectively implement these processes within teams.
- Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues.
- Share progress reports I-e Daily status report, weekly status report or any other required by the managers.
- Coordinate with co-Engineers and keeps managers and other stakeholders well informed of the status of development effort.
- Keep himself up to date with new trends and best practices in web development.
- Should have good exposure of different design and architecture approaches in ROR using different frameworks.
Requirements:
- 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or in the relevant field from HEC recognized universities.
- Having 5 years + experience in IT/Software industry.
- Sound concepts of OOP, Databases, Data Structures and good Logic Building skills.
- Proficiency with relevant programming language.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics and frameworks.
- Good English communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
