We are a Canadian based company looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices for our Lahore office. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside with a project manager, design team, backend developer and other developers who are working on other platforms. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, and creating quality products is essential. Responsibilities:
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Unit-testing code for robustness, usability, and general reliability
• Bug fixing and improving application performance
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Fulfilling deadlines
• Quality of product
• Overall development efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject would be an asset but not a requirement
• Proven software development experience and Android skills development is a must
• Proven working experience in Android app development is a must
• Published at least one original Android app (asset)
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
