Purpose of the Position
The Officer Academics is responsible for providing administrative support to the concerned Dean/Department Chair/Director and to serve as a point of contact for department faculty and students.
· Execute a variety of office administrative support activities for the supervisor such as composing replies to correspondence, interpreting and explaining academic policies in response to inquiries, summarizing reports and information to facilitate review by supervisor, and resolving problems of the department faculty or students, within the scope of the position.
· Provide office operations support such as receiving and screening telephone calls and visitors, scheduling meetings, and special events, maintaining record-keeping systems, opening and reviewing incoming mail, and responding to inquiries.
· Any other task, as assigned by the Supervisor.
