- The job holder is responsible to ensure all shipments are timely managed and accurately processed.
- The manager also needs to ensure that all the documents prepared by subordinate staff are accurate and timely processed.
- Constantly review the operations process and suggest improvements to increase efficiency with optimum utilization of resources.
- Once a shipment is finalized check for optimum and most economical route for goods transportation and plan shipments to achieve the best results.
- Pass on the shipment file and documents to relevant processing clerk to initiate shipping process by requesting required bookings.
- Lead and supervise the operations team to ensure all shipments are timely moved without any delay.
- Review the documents prepared by processor for accuracy before passing on to the relevant users.
- Follow up on the shipments that get stuck in transit due to either lack of any document / delay in trucking / missed port cut and ensure all such blockage is amicably addressed.
- Once a shipment departs, forward all relevant documents and file for accounts department for processing of payable/receivable invoices.
- Keep customers informed with entire shipping process until shipment has reached to the booked destination.
