Must possess specific and in-depth skills, knowledge, and experience with multiple facets of Safety. Safety engineer has to develop procedures and system designs that protect people from illness and injury and property from damage in the Construction sector. He has to combine his engineering and health and safety knowledge to ensure that chemicals, machinery and accidents do not harm people or damage property. He has to maintain and apply his knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and construction processes and review plans and specifications of new machinery and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards. Safety engineer has to identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment and evaluate various construction control mechanisms’ effectiveness. He has to ensure buildings or material placement comply with health and safety regulations, paying careful attention after conducting an inspection that requires changes. He has to direct and oversee the installation of safety devices on machinery, and review employee safety programs, recommending necessary improvements as needed.
