1. WASH Legislation

One of the key pillars of WaterAid Pakistan’s strategy is to provide support to all legislative efforts for the recognition of WASH as basic human rights. We proactively work to secure development and fiscal priority status for WASH within the government and in the legislature.

To achieve this important pillar of our strategy, we identify and work with high-impact advocacy champions at senior levels of government and political leadership and support them by evidence-based knowledge materials and technical backstopping towards WASH rights legislation and their developmental as well as fiscal prioritisation.

In this regard, legislators have a crucial role to play in various national development process including water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). In practice, they are mandated to adopt the requisite legislation, approve budget allocations and exercise oversight over expenditures and implementation of legislation by the executive.

WaterAid Pakistan is engaged with legislators at National and Provincial levels in supporting their efforts to effectively play their legislative, oversight and representation roles. The overall objective of the Support to Parliaments project is to proactively engage legislators/ opinion leaders to facilitate legislation for securing water and sanitation as fundamental rights and enhancing their capability to influence WASH planning and oversight and budgeting. As part of this engagement, WAP is providing knowledge and assistance to legislators on existing gaps in legislative framework for WASH and recommendations for improvement in it.

 General Terms & Conditions

1.     Proposal must be on company’s letter head, signed and stamped by the authorized person.

2.     All quoted prices must be in PKR only and must be separate for each item mentioned above.

3.     Unit price must be inclusive of all applicable Govt. taxes, but tax rate must be mentioned separately including GST, if applicable.

4.     Taxes will be deducted at source as per prevailing tax rules.

5.     No advance payment will be made. Payment will be released within 15-20 days through cross cheque after receiving of invoice with all supporting documents.

6.     Payment will only be released upon satisfactory delivery of goods/services as per specifications/requirements of WAP and endorsed by the concerned staff.

7.     WaterAid Pakistan reserves right to reject any or all quotations without assigning any reason.

8.     Offered quote must be valid for minimum of 30 days.
