Responsibilities:
- Help senior staff in managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure.
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools under senior supervision.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Working on updating and upgrading tools and systems.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Set up monitoring system to troubleshoot runtime issue and resolve on time.
- Management of database resources with permissions.
Requirements:
- Working experience in installing and configuring Nginx, Apache, DNS, File Server, Email Server, Database SQL, mongoDB, and phpmyadmin.
- Cloud experience must, preferably in AWS is highly desirable.
- Knowledge/working configuration and management experience in ansible, with docker or Kubernetes
Good to Know:
- Working with monitoring tools like nagios, Prometheus and Grafana etc.
- Good understanding of version control and source code management like github, bitbucket, subversion, with user and permission management.
- Experience with an application monitoring system to monitor cloud running apps.
- Scripting skills (e.g., powershell scripts, bash, Python) would be a major plus
- knowledge of programming languages like node js, php, html, etc.
- Good networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, VLAN)
