Whizpool is an established software developer and publisher of high tech engineering software. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically sound DevOps /System/Linux Engineer at Whizpool. Responsibilities:
-Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing cloud based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems
-Build, release and configuration management of production systems
-Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements
-Experience of some of the technologies we use: Cassandra, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Elasticsearch, XMPP.
-Experience in NoSQL databases and their clustering is HUGE plus
Requirements:
-DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24/7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.
-Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python) and automation skills or Shell scripting, Power Shell, Python
-Operating System: Linux, UNIX, Windows, Redhat
-Experience in Design and Architecture review
-Excellent DevOps scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, Perl, or Ruby
-Experience scaling, designing, and operating web infrastructure in a large-scale distributed computing environment
-Experience with one or more of the IaaS provider is a must (AWS, Azure, GCE cloud etc)
-An understanding of enterprise systems including Windows, UNIX/Linux systems, IP networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS), and security fundamentals
-Experience of monitoring tools: Zabbix, Grafana, Logstash, Telegraf, InfluxDB.
-Experience with Linux system administration and Understanding of release engineering practices
-Experience with DevOps and automation frameworks, including Chef, Docker, Puppet, or Jenkins
Skills:
-Good communication skills.
-Strong analytical skills.
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to perform under stress and aggressive deadlines
