Zameen is looking to recruit a skilled professional for its ‘Assistant Manager-Imports’ post in Lahore.
The applicant selected for this position will be managing internal and external documentaries pertaining to ordering & invoicing; acting as a bridge between material supplier(s) and user(s); managing long-term buying agreements to secure material allocations; and keeping track of metal prices listed on the London Metal Exchange for procurement. Further, he (or she) will be responsible for planning and managing procurement KPIs.
The employee will be sourcing new items from different countries and managing all matters related to the Pakistan Customs. Responsibilities include liaising with government stakeholders, negotiating prices, delivery lead times and terms with supplier(s) and providing professional advice to the organization with regard to tariffs, incoterms, duties, restrictions, and permits.
Moreover, the incumbent will be performing risk evaluations; issuing purchase orders for raw material, equipment, spares and services; managing demand planning and remittances as per the company’s policy; managing freight and special equipment movement by liaising with different shipping lines; keeping the Head of Supply Chain updated on the SROs and customs/SBP notifications; leading the import team; and issuing guidelines on day-to-day tasks.
Education: BBA/MBA in Supply Chain Management
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience
