Senior JavaScript Developer

We are looking for a senior JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build the various projects you’ll be working on. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.

Responsibilities

Develop new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

Strong understanding of JavaScript, it’s quirks and workarounds.
Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and Bootstrap
Strong understanding of MYSQL Databases
Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries such as AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS, & JQuery
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt and Gulp.js
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
Good understanding of english

Good-to-haves but not required

Good understanding of PHP
Good understanding of the Codeigniter framework

Education & Experience

4+ years of experience required
Bachelor degree in computer science or related field (if self taught, we encourage you to still apply, but we expect an strong base understanding that a bachelor degree provides)
Experience working with teams
