- We are looking for a PHP and Front end developer-wordpress who is dedicated to his/her craft, takes pride in the code he/she writes and can hit the ground running.
- We need you to write beautiful, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways.
- You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.
Responsibilities
- Write robust, clean, well-designed code
- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
- Manage UI (User Interface) design and development activities.
- Develop, follow and ensure high standards of usability, consistency and clarity in UI design across different platforms e.g. desktops, smart phones, tablets and Big screens.
- Work closely with the Engineering and Product Managers to support UI implementation efforts.
- UI design and development using different tools like Photoshop etc. and Front End UI development using HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery and responsive UI frameworks like Foundation, Bootstrap etc.
- Solve different UI challenges like browser compatibilities issues, different resolutions etc.
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Follow industry best practices
- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
Requirements
- Strong PHP skills
- Strong WordPress Skills
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- 2+ years of web development experience in PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript,Jquery, AJAX, XML etc
- Comfortable working with both procedural and object oriented PHP code
- Demonstrable knowledge of Database design, SQL and version control tools
- Strong knowledge of open source projects like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, OpenCart, Magento etc
- Good knowledge of developing Web services, REST API's
- Experience in common third-party APIs (google, facebook, paypal, ebay etc)
- Strong analytical thinker, intellectually curious, attention to detail
- Good verbal & written communication skills.
