Scope/About the Role:

We are seeking a diligent IT Specialist to take care of all our IT needs.
He will be responsible for installing or upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network administration, and resolving all IT support issues.
He should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies.
In this role he will provide technical support to maintain the organization’s computer systems, both hardware and software and other peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance so that end users can maintain a high level of productivity.

Responsibilities:

Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
Resolve issues for staff via phone, in person, or electronically.
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
Log bugs and enhancement requests.
Perform hardware and software installations, configurations and updates as needed.
Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using available resources within the company.
Replace parts as required.
Support the roll-out of new applications.
Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
Rapidly establish a good working relationship with vendors and other professionals, such as software developers
Test and evaluate new technology
Coordinate with vendors and with company personnel in order to facilitate purchases.
Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
