Director Data Sciences, Insights and Analytics, Zones Digital Innovation Center

 The Director Data Science will be a key member of the digital transformation team at Zones. We are looking for individuals who want to grow professionally and make an impact on the business transformation of a $2+ billion USD company.

The Director Data Science will own the insights and analytics function, envisioned to be a centralized corporate service, for the organization. The Director is responsible for developing the insights team, aligning outputs to corporate direction and delivering insights that improve corporate performance along with customer delight. The deliverables are expected to meet high-quality standards.  

Zones Digital Tools is a suite of cutting-edge, data-first service and enablement tools that empower Zones employees to have a better, more efficient day and ensure customers are aware of the entirety of their relationship with Zones.

You also have a keen interest and understanding of processes and a focus on helping customers and colleagues have a more successful day. You possess knowledge of agile processes and principles.

You possess intellectual curiosity, out of box thinking, strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Developing and leading a team of data analysts and machine learning experts tasked with delivering near real time insights for our colleagues and customers.
• Responsible for evaluating and designing our insights and analytics workflows. We aren’t interested in reports – it’s the usage of the data and insights that excites us.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, service and product targeting and other business outcomes.
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Understand the large-scale thinking and approach needed for success of the project.
• Power BI programming skills.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

7 to 10 years of data insights experience

B.S/B.A. education – MS or equivalent
