The Director of PMO will oversee Zones’ project management function for specified top customers, Including demand Planning, management of Inventory, and delivery of lifecycle services.
The Director will lead the PMO function with the mandate to exert a directive influence by taking direct control and management of active projects as follows:
Oversee strategic project planning and goal setting by utilizing Zones’ demand planning tools (IntelliPlan)
Drive process improvement and standards development – Including but not limited to Projects Inventory Management
Establish and maintain proper project documentation and archives
Ensure project execution and governance
Maintain project prioritization and portfolio alignment

Oversee strategic project planning and goal setting by utilizing Zones’ demand planning tools (IntelliPlan)
Ensure proper planning in the initial stages for any project
Enforce project demand planning and change management through Zones tool IntelliPlan
Identify dependencies and possible issues across teams and collaborate with others to solve
Develop and communicate clear and actionable deliverables, or activities to be completed
Drive process improvement and standards development – Including but not limited to Project Inventory Management
Identify processes and activities to improve based on observations of all projects including client inventory health
Implement, document, communicate and measure the new procedures to the rest of the organization
Work directly with Clients, Sales and Leadership on inventory programs with upfront payment requirements through Zones’ Programs to reduce or eliminate Zones liability
Establish and maintain proper project documentation and archives
Ensure Project Managers are working with project teams to create documentation, supporting materials, and project plans and that those materials are updated and readily available
Ensure compilation of documents at project completion
Ensure project execution and governance
Create systems, processes, and behaviors for properly executing projects at Zones
Ensure Project Managers track deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines throughout all projects
Maintain project prioritization and portfolio alignment
Ensure proper project balancing and priority communication
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred. PMI Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent. 10-15 years of prior project management experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Ability to understand and communicate variances to expectations for timeliness, productivity, or communication issues
Ability to analyze and present ROI for projects, Inventory Management, and initiatives
Experience in working in a Supply Chain environment and inventory management
Strong leader with prior experience in hiring, motivating, and managing employees
Aptitude to develop and nurture relationships across all levels of an organization
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to address large and diverse audiences
High degree of intellectual curiosity is strongly preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Familiar with commonly used project management tools
