The Property Management Accountant is responsible for all financial processes for a portfolio of properties.
STRATEGIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

PROCESS:
1. Complete full cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties
a. Prepare and post all necessary financial entries for assigned properties including journal entries, accruals, depreciation, etc.
b. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and supporting schedules
c. Prepare annual CAM reconciliations and estimates and assist with preparation of annual budget
2. Responsible for managing, reviewing and posting accounts receivable
a. Prepare tenant billings, review for accuracy and post in a timely manner
b. Accurately apply tenant receipts per prescribed deadlines
c. Partner with Property Management team in collection of unpaid amounts from tenants including responding professionally to inquiries
3. Responsible for posting, payment and management of accounts payable
a. Timely and accurately code and post all vendor invoices
b. Make timely payments of approved invoices
4. Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
