Position Title; 

  • The Microsoft Workplace Business Segment Lead will be responsible for increasing SMB sales revenue and gross margin for the solution portfolio.
  • This individual will work alongside the Sales and Cloud Services organization to grow sales and services revenue, acquire net-new accounts, and increase workplace usage.
  • They will also act as an internal and external resource working with the Zones Cloud Solutions team to drive relationships and alliances with Software sales and channel organizations and own all Microsoft SMB Workplace deliverables.

Results should include:

  • Increased Microsoft SMB Workplace net new customers
  • Increased Microsoft CSP agreements
  • Drive integrated solutions offerings and services through Zones Cloud
  • Deliver weekly business reports

The Business Segment Lead is primarily responsible for:

  • Microsoft SMB Workplace Revenue growth
  • Understand key priorities and instill line of sight with sellers
  • Provide success measurements to leadership
  • Ensure enablement of products and services has been executed
  •  New CSP acquisition
  • Number of end-user customers buying
  • Zones Cloud customer adds
  • CRM opportunities assigned
  • Proof of concepts approved and completed

Enable SMB sales teams to:

  •  Increase customer reach
  • Understand and leverage Microsoft programs
  • Work with sellers on executing talk track and value proposition
  • Shorten sales cycle
  • Close revenue
  • Enhance margin
  • Influence leads and contacts
  • Advance and maintain levels of expertise in Microsoft solutions by attending or facilitating training, seminars and trade show to support and service the sales organization and end-user customers

Minimum Requirement;

Education;

  • Strong customer relationship and consultative selling skills
  • Proven track record of business development or account management
  • Strong team player that is goal and action oriented
  • Good organizational and time management skills; excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Certifications/Licenses/Etc;

  •  Brand-specific and/or IT certifications 
  • A strong candidate will have a background in sales/field sales, business development or account management, preferably in IT

Required Experience;

  • Demonstrated customer relationship and consultative selling skills
  • Proven track record of business development or account management
  • Experience teaming collaboratively with field account teams in a high volume and fast-paced professional environment 
  • Understanding of technologies that drive solutions  
  • Good organizational and time management skills; excellent oral and written communication skills
  •  Effective at developing and executing strategic sales plans
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Conducts business professionally in a corporate environment and anytime representing Zones
  • Proven ability to manage administrative duties timely
  •  Demonstrated ability to work independently and be accountable for all deliverables 
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision

  •   Microsoft cloud technologies (Microsoft 365, Windows 10 and EMS)
