Position Objective

To lead the development of high quality communication and visibility material, including the implementation of communication and visibility strategy in line with Action Against Hunger, Pakistan. To support in capacity development related to C&V across all the projects. To support in the development of preparation of program quality reporting for donor and HQ.

Mission: 1 Lead the development of communication and visibility strategy and action plan Communication Visibility and Reporting  (CVR) Officer is responsible for:

• With the guidance and support from supervisor, develop a comprehensive mission communication and visibility strategy plan;
• Develop Action Against Hunger’s communication and visibility strategy action plan
• Identify necessary resources required for the implementation;
• Close liaise with CD, DCD and Head of  Programme Development department and technical managers while developing the communications strategy and plans;
• Stay up to date on HQ changes in Communications and Visibility strategy
• Ensure effective coordination within Action Against Hunger wider network especially ACF-HQ for technical guidance and support for any specialized communication and branding related expertise with focus to build in-house capacities/expertise.

Mission 2 : Lead preparation and use of visibility materials 

The CVR Officer is responsible for:

• Undertake Field visits to ACF’s project interventions, document photos and video stories and maintain an up to date and varied store of photos and videos;
• Lead preparation of visibility and communication material such as case studies, project fact sheets, contents for social media, videos and documentaries
• Provide support in the preparation of communication and visibility material and press releases for events in line with visibility requirements of ACF and donors.
• Ensuring branding and visibility guidelines as outlined by ACF international communication manual
• Ensure that tracking database on Journalist directory for media and emergency SOPs is kept up to date for all ongoing program development in assigned region.

Mission 3 : Support in capacity development related to C&V across all projects

The CVR Officer is responsible for:

• Supporting capacity development of Field staff related to communication and visibility across all projects
• Provide relevant training and orientation to field teams and partners on implementation of ACF’s communication and Visibility guidelines, including training on content development, case studies, human interest stories, etc.;
• Expertly coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders for arranging meetings / consultative sessions as and when required;

Mission: 4 Support development and preparation for donor and HQ reports

The  CVR is responsible for:

• Supporting program teams in finalization of donor and HQ reports
• Support PD team in finalization of internal and external (donor required) progress reports which includes but not limited to APRs, CRFU, Quarterly Reports, and donor reports,
• Provide editorial support to project teams for review of reports and documents and ensure the quality and presentation of reports shared externally;
• Travel to the field sites as needed to support program reporting

Mission 5: Ensure compliance with ACFs gender equality, child protection sensitivity and Safeguarding policies

The CVR is responsible for:

• Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender, Child Protection and other safeguarding policies
• Implement all work related activities with a gender, inclusion and child protection lens
• Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

Skills and resources needed to perform the function

• Masters degree in mass communication or related discipline with at least experience of 3-4 years in content development;
• Preferences should be given in basic design skills also, photography and video skills..... we should test all of this also
• Good written and verbal communication in English;
• Good interpersonal skills
• Computer literate, knowledge of MS Word, Excel and designing software required
• Willingness to travel frequently
