Position Objective

Responsible for community outreach activities under humanitarian relief for afghan refugees and host population project, including integrated health and nutrition and mental health interventions and community outreach component activities, formation of community committees, screening for CMAM and referral, conduction of health and hygiene sessions, family MUAC, SGBV awareness dissemination, coordination with key stakeholders in community for the activities. Ensure all the relevant documentation. Information sharing with relevant stakeholders of the project in consultation with supervisor/ team leader on screening, beneficiary identification, support in complaint response mechanism.

Mission 1 Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility to ensure the effective implementation of project community outreach activities in the field.
  • Develop micro plan of community outreach activities in consultation with the team leader.
  • Community sensitization on the program objectives and methods to stimulate & eventually promote the understanding and participation of the target population. Community sensitization starts at village- and Community-leader levels and eventually extends to the entire population.
  • Establishment of community committees.
  • Conduct House hold and community level awareness and dissemination sessions for health and hygiene, mental health, PFA, IYCFE and SBGBV.
  • Carry out screening for CMAM at HH level for malnourished children
  • Select and train community members in Family MUAC and ensure that proper referral mechanisms are reinforced
  • Ensure complaint response mechanism in place.
  • Area mapping to identify the selected communities and HHs with the community members and team leaders.
  • Sharing of information with community in timely manner
  • Flag issues and problems in time
  • Work as team and ensure close coordination with the supervisors

Mission 2 : Ensure compliance with ACFs gender equality, child protection sensitivity and Safeguarding policies This position is responsible for:

  • Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender, Child Protection and other safeguarding policies  
  • Implement all work related activities with a gender, inclusion and child protection lens
  • Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability

Specific skills needed to perform the function

  •   Advance Technical qualification/diploma or Bachelors Degree in health/paramedical/nutrition/social sciences or any relevant field
  •   Minimum 02 year of overall experience in health & Nut outreach activities in field in development sector.
  •   Ability to speak local Language is mandatory along with other languages Urdu & English
  •   Computer literate
  •   Willingness to travel frequently and independently
