Overall Job Spectrum:

  • Collaborating with the kitchen team, support staff and the management to establish individual performance targets (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-bound), conducting performance reviews on-time and communicating one-on-one as well as partnering with them to correct or compliment performance results 
  • Mentoring high potential individuals and providing input into succession planning process 
  • Establishing and setting staffing targets, and working with the management to ensure the restaurant is adequately staffed (through quality hiring and retention) to maximize sales potential 
  • Protecting Allspice brand by ensuring the restaurant meets operational standards, food safety standards, and labor laws
  • Demonstrate hyper-customer-service approach by consistently observing restaurant operations, troubleshooting shift management, takin on-the-spot corrective actions, and recognizing successes; ensure timely escalation of issues to the management
  • Works with the management and support staff on developing business plan
  • Creates a positive and inclusive work environment to optimize business results (increase guest counts, increase sales, increase profits, while delivering outstanding customer experience) 
  • Verifies that Allspice standard practices and procedures are met (e.g., cash, security, food safety, pricing) 
  • Develops and executes plans on an ongoing basis to include opening new sales avenues (e.g. caterings and events), new entrees, rebuilds, remodels, equipment purchases, etc.
  • Uses all available resources to achieve business plan results 

Typical day to day job responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: 

  • Recruiting, training and supervising staff
  • Agreeing and managing budgets
  • Planning menus
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
  • Promoting and marketing the business
  • Overseeing stock levels
  • Ordering supplies
  • Producing staff rotas in collaboration with the lead chef
  • Handling customer enquiries and complaints
  • Taking orders
  • Greeting and advising customers
  • Problem solving
  • Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports
  • Keeping statistical and financial records
  • Assessing and improving profitability
  • Setting targets
  • Handling administration and paperwork
  • Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives
  • Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.

Basic Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent required (Chef/hospitality management diploma would also work) - 1 to 2 years of operations experience. Fresh graduates can also apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

- BA/BS Degree preferred 

- Experience working within a restaurant but we are open to people with different background; ambitious Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
