Ascertia is hiring an experienced Database Developer primarily to manage, design and optimise databases for its Java, .Net and cloud-based applications. The candidate should be experienced in local and cloud-based databases and have experience in containerised databases and applications too.
Ascertia’s core applications ADSS Server, a world leading trust services platform, WebRA Server a comprehensive enrollment, vetting and registration platform and SigningHub a highly scalable digital signature workflow platform all require an experienced DBA Developer to help optimise the use of all three platforms use of database technology for today and to design how we consume and uses databases tomorrow. Ascertia is looking to build best in class platforms that are optimised to server millions of transactions in a highly scalable way, and the products all require a highly skilled Database Developer to ensure our products are optimised to deliver in this area. Job Specifications:
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of professional software development experience with web and distributed applications
- MS SQL Server and Oracle deployments/Installations, configurations and database schemas
- Good command over query writing, optimization, stored procedures, functions, cursors and temporary tables, Indexing, partitioning and file grouping
- A Good understanding of difference between Azure SQL, SQL Server and No SQL
- Understanding of connection pooling, table locking, transactions isolation and atomicity, deadlocks and resource management in SQL Server using the advanced tools for debugging and profiling
- Good understanding of ETL, OLTP, OLAP, Data Lakes, Data warehousing
- SQL Server and Oracle monitoring, Optimizing and maintaining efficiency of data retrieving.
- A good understanding of message brokers, noSql databases and cache servers with load balanced deployments
- Experienced with .Net based applications and their database management
- Good understanding of ORMs, Web Application and how HTTP protocol works
- Good written English and communication skills
Programming Languages:
SQL, P-SQL and T-SQL, C# (code readability), ASP.net MVC (code readability), Cache Servers, Message brokers, ETL and distributed architectures
