Quality Assurance Engineer –permanent position, full time, reporting to Team Lead/ Head of Department

Ascertia is a global leader in PKI and high-trust electronic signature solutions.  The company designs and develops software products in-house and sells these to a global audience, mainly through a network of local reseller partners.  Ascertia has experienced solid revenue growth and is hiring new team members.

The Quality Assurance Engineer with highly qualified specialist work experience of 3-5 years. The candidate can effectively solve the most complex tasks related to both technical and organizing sides of work. The resource is expected to perfectly perform QA duties and know best how to prioritize, plan and delegate tasks.  To ensure success as a QA Engineer he/she should have extensive experience in analytics, high-level problem-solving skills, and the ability to project manage.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Knowledge of these tools Jenkins, Gitlab ,Jira, SoapUI, Selenium, Postman, etc
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements

• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
