Job Summary
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.
QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)
Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Suggest solutions to identified product problems
- Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management
- Execute manual test cases and analyze results
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Help troubleshoot issues. Ability to not only find a defect but also narrow it down to the root cause
- Ability to write/execute SQL queries is an asset.
Requirements
· BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
· Experience fresh to 1 year.
· Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
· Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
· Good knowledge of SQL and scripting
· Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development process
· Knowledge of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, white box, black box, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies and other
· Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Jasmine, Protractor
· Analytical, critical thinker and problem-solving skills
· Great interpersonal and communication skill
· Review specifications, design and provide timely and meaningful feedback.
· Perform extensive manual testing (Functional/Regression/GUI, Integration and System level testing etc.,) on different product versions and be able to maintain proper documentation.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Person who is willing to pursue career in automation field
Nice to have
- Python scripting
- Postman Automation scripting
- Knowledge in CI/CD processes, Jmeter
- SOAP / REST API experience is a plus
