McAfee Network Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration and support of already deployed McAfee IDS/IPS solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Design and Implement IDS/IPS solutions in customer environment.
- Provide operational support of the IDS/IPS environments.
- Understanding of various types of security threats and their
- solution.
- Updating IT Domain with latest security threats patches/solutions.
- Performing information security risk assessments of IT Assets.
- Proactively monitoring Implementation of information security
- policies and procedures for the organization.
- Forward the unresolved issues to relevant level-2 support teams of
- respective domains and follow up with them till the issue is fixed.
- Monitors compliance with information security policies and
- procedures, referring problems to the appropriate team manager to address
- the highlighted issues.
- Develop trends by monitoring and analyzing incoming calls, problems
- and support requests.
- Detect security issues, create customer tickets and manage problems
- until closure.
- Act as point of escalation for the IDS/IPS team to ensure timely
- resolution of issues.
- Ensure that Service Level Agreements and operational standards are
- met.
- Perform system maintenance, checkups and maintain current
- documentation.
- Provide resolution plans for device issues.
- Propose service, process and technical improvements to management.
