- Assess current processes, policies, tools, and systems to identify gaps and develop a roadmap to improve central procurement function at DWP Group.
- Planning, implementation, and monitoring of all activities relating to group-wide procurement of goods, supplies, and services from local/ international sources.
- Conduct cost analysis and set benchmarks for improvement.
- Develop & Establish goals for the central procurement in terms of input cost reduction, alternate vendor sourcing & vendor management.
- Research potential vendors and initiate business and organization partnerships.
- Develop sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of supplies used in the business.
- Maintain positive relationships with external suppliers to negotiate favorable deals, while continually scouting for additional vendors.
- Be the central governance point for procurement and vendor payment-related matters,
- before authorization of payments.
- Build and inspire talented teams, control costs, and effectively manage budgets.
- Work in close conjunction with the team to achieve the overall business objectives.
- Work closely with the company's legal department to make sure contracts and terms comply with laws and regulations and are favorable for the Company.
- Draw measures to prevent fraud and internal collusion.
