SQL Developer
Eminent4u is looking for a SQL developer who will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. You will also work other developers optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary and establishing best practices. You will help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future. You will be assistance to our Senior Analysts and Power BI team.
The role requires ability learn quickly and comprehend complex data requirements to be furnished on demand. You will be working with a team of analysts providing sensitive and business critical information to the board of directors.
Constant changes to the requirements and adaptability to a fast-paced culture are imperative to the role. Hands on ability to co-ordinate and relay information as well as changes on the go will also be an important part of the role.

Responsibilities
· Development of high-quality database solutions
· Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
· Research required data Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
· Suggest new queries
· Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
· Provide timely scheduled management reporting Investigate exceptions with regard to asset movements
· Communicate with Clients in the UK and present work
· Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
· Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
· Prepare documentations and specifications
· Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
· Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary
· Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
· As a core analytics position, the candidate would need to exercise excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· The candidate will be required to process and crunch data using SQL and intermediate to advance level MS Excel.
· The candidate needs to have a keen eye to pin point issues with data trends.
· The candidate will be responsible for developing value driven reports and dashboards.
· Analyzing business requirements and processes.
· The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation including requirements and project plans.
· The candidate will also be required to identify development needs in order to improve and streamline operations
Skills and Qualifications
· Fluent in English
· Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
· Experience with some of the modern relational databases
· Reporting tools and analytical skills
· Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements
· Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
· Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary
· Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
· Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
· Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as {{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}
