Senior SQL Server Database Administrator

Based in Houston, TX with locations in the US and Pakistan; we are a software solutions startup taking on untangling messy data for our clients. We are leading a new era of database solutions powered with built-in algorithms to provide essential business functionalities out of the box. Utilizing our extensive data engineering expertise, we intend to power the next generation of database solutions; agnostic of existing databases or data models but ones that work well with a company’s existing enterprise solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a SQL Server DBA to join our talented growing team.This position reports directly to: CEO

Provide support for a large SQL Server Database environment.
Design, Develop and Manage, Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Configure, Optimize and Maintain database servers and processes.
Mapping out the ‘Conceptual Design’ for a planned database in outline.
Writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary.
Monitor system’s health and performance.
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
Analyze, solve and correct issues in real-time.
Provide suggestions for solutions.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues and document changes.
Assist developers with query tuning, and schema refinement, develop and design queries, update the database.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years of experience as SQL SERVER DBA or a similar role.
Expertise in MS SQL 2016 or Higher.
Must know SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
Must have experience working with large databases.
Must know Database Design and Development.
Must be able to write scripts / store procedures.
Must be able to write indexes and should have strong knowledge.
