What the first 30-60-90 days in the job will look like?
 
-Within 30 days you will:
Attend and graduate from our company-wide on boarding process along with detailed orientation program where you will learn Jazz’s values, business, and products
Meet with the Business Service Division team to understand the strategy of the function in line with Organization strategy and company road map. Have meetings, with members of other teams to understand how each function at Jazz contributes to the overall success.
Understand the functionality of Software Development and Automation team and how your role fits into the overall strategy and function. You will understand Business SOPs & processes, who are the stake holders, get aligned to the ongoing tasks, projects and deliverables.
Develop in-depth understanding of Jazz philosophy and frameworks
 
-Within 60 days, you will:
Conduct deep dive analysis on how current application and DBs are managed and network topology followed
Ensure all Applications, Databases, Procedures and Jobs are documented and daily operations hands on completed
Provide daily support on data and reports requirements by BSD teams
 
-Within 90 days to onwards you will:
Resume on going and new development projects
Work on Project Plan Development for all projects
Management of Daily Database Operations (Stored procedures and Jobs execution on time)
Producing clean, efficient coding based on specifications
Develop optimized DB's and DB's Administrations, regular backups
Testing and deploying programs and systems
Fixing and improving existing software
Server Machine and (VMs) Administrations: RAM, SPACE, Processor Monitoring and Management.
Establish the needs of users and monitoring user access and security
Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end users
Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
Control access permissions and privileges
Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
Commission and install new applications and customize existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose
Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.
Cater to AdHoc Reporting and Reporting Automation
 
A bit about you:
We are looking for someone with
 
Knowledge of .NET, PHP Technologies
Knowledge of SQL SERVER and MySQL DB Administration
Thorough Understanding of SDLC – Software Development Life Cycles
Ability to produce relevant Documents for SIGNOFF and Communicate timely with project progress
Know ow on how to prepare Project plans to manage Time and Resources efficiently
Ability to produce Daily Activity Reports

Application Development and Automation Engineer Team is part of Customer Support and is responsible to support all in house B2B applications needs to enhance operational excellence and automate procedure to reduce dependencies and to support teams in their daily operations
 
The structure of the team you will join is:
You will be reporting to the Manager BPM and PMO and will be based in Lahore. You will have peers who will be handling different areas of Business Process Management and Project Management.
 
The two (02) main priorities of the team as a whole are:
Maximum Automation of the daily operations.
Deliver projects on schedule and ensure daily DB and Application operations
 
The two (02) specific tasks that team was working on in the last 6 months with results. 
Ongoing automations
Reporting automation
 
The three (03) must have past experiences the best candidate should have.
Knowledge of Application and DB developments.
Process Automations
DB and Server Administration
 
The two (02) must have technologies the candidate should have:
.net and PHP
SQL Server, Oracle Client TOAD, mySQL
 
Essential skills must have: 
Profound analytical and decision making skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
