Meet the Technology team and relevant stakeholders concerning Facility Management department to get to know the Technology stack and how it allows us to build great Network and deliver seamless services.
Develop understanding of the function of Facility Management within Technology Division and your role.
 
Facility Management Planning:
•                Ensure efficient Design, Plan and Rollout of Passive infrastructure to support Core and Data Centre Network Expansions
•                Ensure Business Continuity and Disaster Avoidance at Jazz Core Network through seamless, robust and redundant design and implementation
•                Ensure standardization of Core Passive architecture for ease of Operations
•                Efficient planning of power infrastructure in Access network for smooth network operations.
•                Introduction of efficient power systems (alternate energy, smart batteries etc.) for Access network stability and cost reductions.
•                Strategize, Plan, Design and Implement Energy Efficiency and Opex control initiatives
•                Support network operations team to ensure smooth network functionality
 
Facility Management Operations:
•                Manages power/ environment network at JAZZ Core sites to achieve 24/7 continuous operations.
•                Ownership of all technical core sites including installed Generators, Power systems, HVAC and FDS systems.
•                Power and space readiness on core sites to support network and IT systems expansions.
•                Ensure smooth network operations without any interruption in provided resources and operational budget.
•                Close coordination with all stakeholders including Non-Technical Jazz departments.
 
Inventory Management:
•                Manage team responsible for end to end supply chain of Technology equipment to ensure effective utilization.
•                Placement of check and balances on future ordering for efficient usage of existing inventory.
•                Owner of CWIP KPI from Technology department.
•                Jazz warehouse space and cost optimization for OPEX savings.
•                Supervises team responsible for coordination with group/relevant stakeholders regards to inventory optimization & process related projects.
 
 
A bit about you:
 We are looking for someone who has already worked in area of Telecom/IT industry, Industrial grade power system. Has experience of Planning and Operations of Passive Networks (Access & Core), Technical facilities related to MSC/Data Center Power, HVAC, Renewable Energy, Fire Detection & Suppression systems and Inventory Management.
We are looking for someone who has good communication and presentation skills to be able to coordinate effectively with internal and external stake holders, vendor management, preparing and running RFQs, has experience of leading large teams, developing and presenting business/investment cases and executing large complex projects.
 
A bit about us:
 Facility Management function within Network Operations Department is responsible for Planning & Operations of Passive Infrastructure (Access & Core) and Management of Supply Chain of Technology Equipment. During last two years, Technology Division has gone through successful merger of Mobilink & Warid Networks and now we are focused on Operational Excellence and consolidation of our Passive infrastructure portfolio to ensure business continuity and seamless operations.
 
The structure of the team you will join is:
This position will be reporting to Head of Network Operations. The team comprises of 36 people.
Direct Reports Include: 4 Regional Facility Managers, Manager SPM/CWIP, Manager Access Power Planning, Manager Core Power Planning
 
The two (02) main priorities of the team as a whole are:
·           High focus on developing and evolving robust passive infrastructure to improve & optimize the network while reducing costs.
·       Ensure Business Continuity, Smooth Operations of Passive Infrastructure for Jazz Network to provide seamless quality experience to customers.
 
With which other stakeholders the successful candidate will work with functional/regional/ within the team. What would be the result of those interactions if we assume 100% collaboration?
 
You will be interacting/working with several teams/function within Technology, Commercial, Business Support, Finance, Logistics, Security, & HSE divisions as internal and with vendors as external stakeholders.
Your full collaboration with these stakeholders will results in smooth Engineering Operations which will enable Technology Division to contribute to Business effectively.
 
 
 The three (03) must have past experiences the best candidate should have.
•                Knowledge of Passive Infrastructure (Access & Core) for Telco/IT systems
•                Good understanding of power planning principles
•                Understanding of financial, budgeting and business case preparation
•                Good inventory management knowledge
